This is a new retreat with myself and Qi Gong teacher Daverick Leggett. Daverick is a dear friend and someone who has played an integral role in my journey with Qi Gong and Creative Facilitation. We have been working together at Rise Up Singing for the past nearly ten years, where I run the Creative Facilitation Course, and decided it was time to combine forces to offer an immersive fusion of Qigong, voice and creativity.
The retreat will be grounded in Qigong practice from which you will be guided and encouraged to open the creative process and learn tools to build confidence. This may lead to writing, singing or any other form of expression. Along the way you can expect to be nurtured, have a lot of fun and, who knows, you may come away with a masterpiece....
The venue is in Gidleigh on north Dartmoor, a short walk away from spectacular moorland and ancient sites which we will make time to visit.
This is a fully catered retreat. Accommodation is camping adjacent to the retreat space.
“I thought I’d come to write a poem but what actually happened was a transformative journey of self-discovery and development that culminated in me performing a song I’d written - something I never thought would have happened. I went to sleep that night with a huge smile on my face and woke up feeling like a completely different person.”
“I found a real personal breakthrough in excavating feelings I had about my late father. It feels like a wonderful gift to know I can now explore emotional territory, and process my feelings, in a new and deeper way.”
“I Absolutely loved the way Tallulah holds space for creativity to flow! She is such a warm heart, making you feel instantly comfortable and at ease. All the pieces of the journey she includes really support the process, from gentle movement to let energy flow, to sound healing, to allowing an open supportive space for free writing, and careful individual attention.
If you are looking for a space to tap into your creativity – work with Tallulah!”

“Tallulah is inspiring and skilfully helped me get over my reticence to attend the creative sessions on the singing camp. These became one of my highlights of the camp! Using a foundation of QI Gong she got us into a calm grounded place from where creativity could arise.
She was very encouraging and gave each and every one of us care and attention and help where needed/wanted. She created a beautiful safe space to allow our vulnerabilities to be present.
”
“Tallulah acknowledges and welcomes all feelings in her workshops which made me feel safe and connected. We were all invited to co-create, express and honour our voices. The magical journey from chi gong to harmonised hums to collective song really touched me and allowed me to tap into all my tenderness and be met exactly where I am.”
“I feel different as a consequence of being in your workshops, as a result of being so fully and heart-fully supported...I had the space to feel my lack of confidence and yet know that something deep in me was calling to be heard and to know that I could do it.”
“Thank you Tallulah for teaching (me) that creativity is an innate birthright with so much generous (musical) wisdom and tenacity.”
“I expected a song writing class to be very linear - come up with a melody and then got some words around it - but Tallulah’s approach of using QiGong to centre and connect us led to an openness where a greater depth of ideas and musical direction were able to emerge concurrently.
Her gentle approach created a supportive and safe space where I felt willing to share lyrics of a more personal nature that went on to enrich my writing. Not playing an instrument or having written a song before I am amazed at what I was able to create over a few short sessions with Tallulah.
Her experience, insight, gentle consultation and encouragement offer a unique opportunity and a set of skills to access a creative side that I am excited to continue with and that I see application for in other areas of my life. ”
“It was a completely unexpected blessing to attend Tallulah’s creative sessions.
As a visual artist the invitation to explore the creative process of writing a song had me both intrigued and sceptical!
Tallulah created an incredibly safe and inclusive space. She has a gift for putting people at ease and intuitively encouraging and supporting little shoots of ideas to full bloom. Her genuine warmth, sensitivity and complete confidence in our ability to write a song was infectious and miraculously, I not only wrote lyrics and found a tune, I actually performed it to the rest of the camp!
My ongoing personal inquiring is how I can step out of my limiting self belief and I’m so grateful to Tallulah for expanding my creative horizons and highly recommend her work.
”
“I want to think Tallulah for holding such a beautiful space at the Rise Up camp. Last year was my first and I was intrigued but felt blocked from writing or performing anything. However a seed was planted and this year on the camp, I wrote my first song for 20 years! With Tallulah’s encouragement I performed it - I have to say very badly! But I felt jubilant and since then have been back writing songs again, believing I can do this creative act which brings me much happiness and meaning to my life.
I had really lost touch with this and I feel so delighted. Tallulah is not just a gifted musician and performer, she brings and holds a generous and inspiring space for creative stirrings to emerge in safety and love. Thanks! ”
